Background

The story

The Mercedes-Benz Actros is a heavy goods vehicle first shown at the 1996 Commercial Vehicle IAA in Hannover, where it replaced the SK. It is normally used for long-distance haulage, heavy-duty distribution and construction work, and is powered by a turbocharged and intercooled inline-six diesel engine.

Mercedes-Benz revealed the fifth-generation Actros at the IAA Commercial Vehicles Show in Hannover in September 2018. Two colour displays replaced the conventional instrument cluster, cameras replaced the outside mirrors, and Active Drive Assist added semi-automated driving. Solido's 1:24 model is a 2021 tractor unit in black from its Italian Collection.
