Background

The story

Volvo Trucks introduced the FH in late 1993 as the FH12 and FH16. FH stands for forward control, high entry, and the number gives the engine size in litres. It is one of the most successful truck ranges ever, with more than 400,000 sold worldwide.

Volvo re-launched the FH with major technology upgrades in September 2012, and a 2020 facelift brought a new headlight design, an updated interior, new safety features and efficiency improvements. An electric truck followed in 2021. Solido's 1:24 model is a 2023 FH tractor unit with the Globetrotter XL cab, in neon green.
