Background

The story

AF Corse ran a privately entered Ferrari 499P, No. 83, at the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans, driven by Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye and Robert Shwartzman.

Kubica led overall, but in the 21st hour the car retired with a motor-generator unit fault on the front axle. A year later the No. 83 crew of Kubica, Ye and Phil Hanson won Le Mans outright.
