Fiat 131 Abarth SE035 Turbo Volumetrico Competizione 1979 Red

The Fiat 131 Abarth was one of the great rally cars of the late 1970s. In 1976, 400 road examples of the 131 Abarth Rally were built for homologation, with Bertone preparing the bodyshells and Fiat fitting the Abarth mechanicals. As a Group 4 car it won the manufacturers' World Rally Championship for Fiat three times, in 1977, 1978 and 1980, and Walter Röhrl took the 1980 drivers' title in one.

Fiat also experimented with forced induction on the 131. In June 1981 it launched the Volumetrico Abarth road car, a supercharged version of the familiar 2-litre twin-cam, built in a small series of about 200 cars. Maxima's model shows the SE035 Turbo Volumetrico Competizione, a 1979 competition prototype in red.
