Background
The story
The 2025 British Grand Prix was held at Silverstone on 6 July 2025, the twelfth round of the season. Max Verstappen started from pole, but Lando Norris won his home race ahead of McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri. It was McLaren's first win at Silverstone since 2008, and Nico Hülkenberg took Sauber's first podium since 2012.
The race was run in changing, wet conditions with several safety car periods. Piastri led early on but received a ten-second penalty for erratic braking at a restart, which handed the lead to Norris. The win, his second Grand Prix win in a row, cut Piastri's championship lead to eight points.
Norris went on to win the 2025 World Drivers' Championship. This 1:5 model of his Silverstone helmet is made by Spark.
