Background
The story
In 2022 Lewis Hamilton moved to a fluorescent yellow helmet design, keeping purple details and a star for each of his World Championships. 2024 was his twelfth and final season with Mercedes, driving the W15.
He won twice that year. At Silverstone he took his record ninth British Grand Prix, his first win since the end of 2021, and he also won in Belgium. His last race for the team was the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December, before his move to Ferrari for 2025.
Born in Stevenage on 7 January 1985, Hamilton has won a joint-record seven world titles.
