Background
The story
The Alfasud Sprint was shown to the press in September 1976 and at the Turin Motor Show that November: a three-door 2+2 coupé on Alfasud underpinnings, styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Italdesign.
The first cars had a 1,286 cc flat-four boxer engine with a twin-choke carburettor, 76 PS and a five-speed gearbox, driving the front wheels. Production ran until 1989, with 116,552 built.
