Background

The story

The Ducati Panigale V4 arrived in 2018 as the successor to the V-twin 1299, and was Ducati's first large-production street bike with a V4 engine. Its 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine is derived from Ducati's MotoGP engine and keeps its counter-rotating crankshaft.

The name comes from Borgo Panigale, the Bologna district where Ducati is based. The bike has an aluminium perimeter frame around the engine, Brembo Stylema brakes and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres developed with Ducati.
