Background

The story

The Yamaha YZR-M1 was developed by Yamaha for MotoGP, succeeding the 500 cc YZR500 in 2002 with a 990 cc engine, and has been developed through the 990 cc, 800 cc and 1000 cc eras.

Minichamps' 1:12 model is the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP bike Rossi rode in 2016. Valentino Rossi, born 16 February 1979, is a nine-time Grand Prix motorcycle World Champion, nicknamed "the Doctor" and widely considered one of the greatest motorcycle racers of all time. He is the only road racer to have competed in 400 or more Grands Prix.
