Background

The story

The Honda RC211V is a 990 cc four-stroke race bike developed by HRC in 2001 to replace the two-stroke NSR500, after the rules changed for 2002: the premier class was renamed MotoGP and four-strokes of up to 990 cc were allowed.

This 1:12 Minichamps model shows the RC211V Rossi tested before the first MotoGP season in 2002. Valentino Rossi, born 16 February 1979, is a nine-time Grand Prix motorcycle World Champion, nicknamed "the Doctor" and widely considered one of the greatest motorcycle racers of all time. He is the only road racer to have competed in 400 or more Grands Prix.
