Background
The story
Nissan's C10 Skyline went on sale in August 1968, the first to carry a Nissan badge after the Prince name was phased out. The first GT-R version, the four-door PGC10, followed on 4 February 1969, powered by the 2.0-litre DOHC S20 straight-six with 162 PS.
The two-door KPGC10 coupé arrived in October 1970, with black FRP overfenders on the rear wheel arches and a new grille. Fans called it Hakosuka: 'hako' is Japanese for box, and 'suka' is short for Skyline.
The GT-R dominated Japanese touring car racing until Mazda's RX-3 became its main rival from late 1971. Solido's Solido Works version is finished in red metallic.
