Background
The story
Peugeot introduced the 205 supermini on 25 February 1983 and sold it until 1999 over a single generation. It won What Car?'s Car of the Year for 1984, was named 'car of the decade' by CAR Magazine in 1990, and is often credited with turning Peugeot's fortunes around.
The convertible versions, known as the CJ, CT and CTI, were designed and partly assembled by Pininfarina in Italy. The CTI was the sporting cabriolet, with the same plastic wheel arches and wheels as the 1.6 GTI.
