Background

The story

The D50 was designed by Vittorio Jano for Lancia in 1954. After Ferrari took over Lancia's assets it was renamed the Lancia-Ferrari D50, and Juan Manuel Fangio won the 1956 World Championship with it, his fourth title and third in a row.
