Background

The story

At the 1998 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola on 26 April, Ferrari fitted extra 'tower' wings on top of the F300's sidepods, an idea first tried by Tyrrell. They were not enough to beat the McLarens: David Coulthard won and Michael Schumacher finished second, 4.5 seconds behind.
