Background

The story

The McLaren MCL36 was built to the new 2022 technical rules and stood out for an unusual suspension layout, a lack of porpoising and good reliability.

The 2022 Singapore Grand Prix, on 2 October, started more than an hour late after a thunderstorm and was cut to 59 laps by the two-hour limit. Norris ran fourth after the McLarens' well-timed switch to slicks. Minichamps' model is resin, 1:18.
