Background

The story

The E46 M3 was previewed as a concept at the 1999 International Motor Show Germany and launched in production form at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2000. It used the 3.2-litre S54, the final evolution of BMW's S50 straight-six, rated at 343 PS at 7,900 rpm with an 8,000 rpm redline and individual throttle bodies for each cylinder.

Buyers could choose a Getrag six-speed manual or the SMG-II automated manual with steering-wheel paddles. BMW built the car at its Regensburg factory from September 2000 to August 2006: 56,133 coupés and 29,633 convertibles, 85,766 in all.

Streetfighters is Solido's tuning-inspired series, which reworks road cars with a more aggressive look. This coupé is finished in Nardo Grey.
