Background

The story

The Ranger Raptor is a high-performance version of Ford's mid-size pick-up, built for off-road driving in the spirit of the larger F-150 Raptor. The first one was unveiled in Thailand in February 2018 with a 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel and a 10-speed automatic.

The second-generation Ranger Raptor was unveiled in February 2022. It uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 petrol engine from the Bronco Raptor, rated at 292 kW in Australia, and a 10-speed automatic. In Europe output is limited to 210 kW to meet emissions rules.

European deliveries of the new Ranger began in November 2022 with the Raptor, and Ford also brought this generation of the Raptor to the US and Canada.
