Background

The story

The Ranger Raptor is Ford's high-performance, off-road version of its Ranger pickup, in the spirit of the larger F-150 Raptor, and replaces the blue oval on the grille with 'FORD' in block letters. The first one was unveiled in Thailand in February 2018.

The second-generation Ranger Raptor was unveiled in February 2022 with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 from the Bronco Raptor and a ten-speed automatic. It produces 292 kW in Australia, while European cars are limited to 210 kW to meet emissions rules, and European deliveries of the new Ranger began with the Raptor in November 2022.
