Background

The story

Ford unveiled the second-generation Ranger Raptor in February 2022. Like the first, launched in Thailand in 2018, it is a high-performance off-road version of the mid-size Ranger pick-up, inspired by the larger F-150 Raptor.

Where the first Raptor used a 2.0-litre diesel, the new one has a 3.0-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 petrol engine shared with the Bronco Raptor, driving through a 10-speed automatic. It is rated at 292 kW in Australia and 302 kW in North America, while European cars are limited to 210 kW.

In the UK the Raptor is also offered with a 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel. Solido models a 2024 Raptor in orange.
