Background

The story

The Nissan GT-R (R35) was unveiled at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show after development that began in 2000. It used the twin-turbo VR38DETT engine and ATTESA E-TS Pro all-wheel drive, and was built at Nissan's Tochigi plant until August 2025, with around 48,000 made.

Liberty Walk, based in Nagoya and run by CEO Wataru Kato, started as an import used-car dealer in the early 1990s before turning to body kits. In 2017 it named a Version 2 kit for the GT-R as its next project.
