Background

The story

The fifth-generation Supra was revealed at the North American International Auto Show in January 2019, 17 years after its predecessor left the market, as the GR Supra of Toyota's Gazoo Racing family. Developed with BMW, it shares its platform and many parts with the G29 BMW Z4 and uses BMW four- and six-cylinder turbocharged engines.

The car carries BMW's J29 designation, though Toyota uses A90 and A91 in its marketing. In November 2024 Toyota announced that GR Supra production would end in March 2026.

Liberty Walk, founded by Wataru Kato in Aichi, Japan, sells its wide-body kits under the LB★WORKS name, which grew out of its 2012 SEMA show car. Solido models the GR Supra wearing a Liberty Walk body kit, in white with pink.
